Florida Small Farms and Alternative Enterprises Conference will be held in Kissimmee July 27-29, 2012.
This is a great conference for all small farmers, those thinking about getting into agriculture, and those who are actively involved in supporting the agricultural community. Plus the food is fabulous. Seminar tracks include: hydroponics, livestock, horticulture, organic & sustainable farming, the business of farming, and beginning farmer and rancher.
Registration is open and early bird rates apply through July 9. Save up to $50 by registering early.
In addition to supporting travel by chapter Board members, a limited number of scholarships will be available for Slow Food Glades to Coast members and non-members to attend the Small Farms Conference. Applications will accepted by June 15th using the MS Word (.doc) form available HERE. Applicants' answers to questions on the forms will then be evaluated to determine the best candidates. Applicants must also be willing to create a report (written, video, blog, pictures, etc.) within 60 days of the end of the conference that will be posted on the Slow Glades to Coast website.
If you attend, look for the Florida Slow Food booth in the exhibit area!
